Most of the sculptors are busy carving their creations from the top down. Five of the artists have told me that this is their full time job. Some say that sand sculpting competitions are part of what their business does in addition to creating exhibits for fairs or even presenting team-building exercises using sand sculpting techniques. One of these guys has landed a gig with the Travel Network. Cameras will follow him around for the next few months creating a reality TV show.
At least one sculptor has spent all of her time so far building the stacked forms, while another, Amazin’ Walter, says he’s “too old and stubborn” to build forms and prefers to spend his time carving…
I can’t wait to see what these will be…

I love places, both familiar and new. Finding a new place means learning about the people and the land through the food, the wine and the farmer's markets. It is thrilling and satisfying for me to learn this way. But I also enjoy revisiting places I've been before. The smells and flavors bring back all the memories and make me smile.
So, in my traveI business, I specialize in destinations (places), that enable travelers to experience the uniqueness of a place through all the senses, but especially TASTE, to create fabulous and memorable journeys.
Think: culinary experiences, food markets, specialty food tours, wine tours, pub tours, bed & breakfasts, cooking classes. This is the kind of travel I am passionate about.
